Hundreds Gather in Chirilagua to Welcome Trail of Dreams Walkers from Florida

Community Prepares for May Day Action to Push Obama to Act Now to Stop Deportations of Students and Families.

Despite the rain, we had over 300 people in Chirilagua to greet the Trail of Dreams. It was an amazing moment that reflects where people are on this issue. Folks came together and danced under the rain in celebration of the resilience and beauty of immigrant youth and our community. Despite years of struggle, the pain that results from raid after raid, and the passage of hateful laws like the one in AZ, we want to live. Our community is passionate and engaged and all we have to do is channel that. If we do it right, we can bring this thing home soon.
