Volunteers are the backbone of Tenants and Workers United. Throughout the years, volunteers have done everything from teaching classes at our community center to creating the library. Current openings are listed below, but if you have other ideas/skills to contribute please let us know!
  • Data-entry/Database Management Volunteer:  Looking for someone who is detail-oriented, well-organized, and more importantly willing to volunteer their time for positive social change.  One or two volunteers are needed with strong knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Access and Outlook)
    • Filing and organizing paper documents, folders, and light description writing
  • Instructors for Community Classes: English, Basic Computer Skills, Democracy Schools
  • Interpreters: Annual Health Fair, Bimonthly Health Clinics, Naturalization Clinics, and other events throughout the year.
  • Instructors for the Summer Youth Institute: Past workshops include: African Drumming, Culture through Dance, Political Art and Poetry, Mural Painting, Community Organizing, etc. We welcome new ideas!!
